Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed a nationwide crackdown on human trafficking networks.

He was talking to newly appointed Director General of Federal Investigation Agency Riffat Mukhtar Raja and Director General of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency Waqaruddin Syed in Islamabad on Tuesday.

He also assigned the Director General of Federal Investigation Agency the task of formulating an effective strategy against illegal immigration.

He stressed that the FIA and all law enforcement agencies must work together to eliminate illegal spectrums and organized crimes from the country.

Mohsin Naqvi also issued directives to the Director General of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency for curbing cybercrimes.

He said the capacity of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency would be enhanced and officers would be sent abroad for specialized training.

Minister of State Talal Chaudhry said human traffickers deserve no leniency.
