The United States has hailed the Pakistan Mineral Investment Forum, terming it an opportunity to strengthen the bilateral ties between the two countries.
US State Department's Senior Official for South and Central Asian Affairs, Eric Meyer who attended the opening ceremony of the Forum, expressed the hope that the forum will provide equal opportunities for investors.
He said US President Donald Trump has highlighted the importance of minerals and mineral resources several times.
Referring to recent successful investment ventures between Pakistan and the United States, Eric Meyer said the resumption of soybean trade between the two countries is a welcoming sign.
He said four ships carrying 260 thousand tons of soybean have recently arrived in Pakistan and these trade links reflect the deep ties between the two countries.
