The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed grave concern over safety of detained Hurriyat leaders, activists, and youth in jails of India and police stations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement issued in Srinagar highlighted the prolonged detention of Hurriyat leaders and activists on flimsy pretexts, denying them essential medical care and basic facilities.

He paid tribute to the unwavering resolve of Kashmiri detainees, including APHC Chairman Masarrat Aalam Butt, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah and Aasiya Andrabi.

APHC spokesperson said the immense sacrifices of the Kashmiri detainees and martyrs will never go in vain.

He called on the United Nations and the International Court of Justice to send fact finding teams to the occupied territory to assess conditions of the detained Hurriyat leaders, activists, and youth.

Meanwhile, in Reasi district, a 25-year-old Kashmiri youth was found dead under suspicious circumstances inside a police station.

The incident triggered protests in his native village, with relatives demanding justice. The protesters blocked the main road to press for the arrest of the culpable police personnel.
