United Nations deputy spokesperson, Farhan Aziz Haq says that the world body’s position on Jammu and Kashmir remains unchanged.

He said this at the UN Headquarters in response to a question about deteriorating human rights situation in Indian illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir following India’s annexation of territory on August 5, 2019.

He said that final settlement of Jammu and Kashmir dispute is to be reached by peaceful means in accordance with Charter of United Nations, applicable Security Council resolutions and full respect for human rights.
