Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan has said that improvement of the health sector is the top most priority of the present government.
Presiding over a meeting in Quetta to review the affairs of People Primary Health Initiatives, he said that the presence of medical staff deputed at health units in far flung areas of the province should be ensured.
The Chief Minister instructed the concerned officials to strengthen and expand the Tele-medicine and Maternal Neonatal and Child Health projects to the more areas of the province.
Jam Kamal appreciated the performance of Medical Emergency Response Centers, which are established at National Highways in Balochistan to provide immediate medical relief to the victims of road accidents.
Meanwhile, Jam Kamal Khan stressed the need to develop the agriculture sector in the province as it would reduce poverty, increase in employment opportunities and promote economic activities.
Chairing a meeting regarding agriculture sector, he reviewed the progress of ongoing and new projects in the agriculture sector.
Minister for Agriculture Zamrak Khan Achakzai, and Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Abdul Rehman Buzdar were also present in the meeting.
Chief Minister directed concerned authorities to educate farmers for adapting modern means of farming.
