The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has appealed to international community to take notice of India's persistent denial of Kashmiris' right to self-determination, acknowledged by the UN Security Council through resolutions.

In a statement issued in Srinagar, the APHC spokesman, Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas pointed out that India is using brutal policies to suppress the Kashmiris' genuine demand for the plebiscite.

He deplored that the silence of the international community has only emboldened New Delhi to continue its anti-Kashmir policies in the territory.

The APHC urged the United Nations to raise Kashmir issue in the upcoming 57th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva beginning tomorrow.

The APHC urged that the UN to ask the Indian government to stop using military might and resolve the dispute in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions and aspirations of Kashmiri people.
