Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani has hailed the adoption of a bill by the Danish parliament, prohibiting desecration of Holy Quran.
In his social media post, he termed it a prudent decision and expressed hope that other European countries would follow the suit through similar legislation.
He said the desecration of holy books of any faith is against the tenets of all religions, even under the guise of freedom of speech.
According to the media report, under the legislation, the violators could face up to two years in jail.
