The United Nations has expressed serious concern over Hindutva attacks on religious minorities, including Muslims and Christians, in India.

In an annual report on recent developments around the world to UN Human Rights Council, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet called on the Indian leadership to publicly condemn ever-increasing incitement to hatred.

She also underlined the need for holding transparent and prompt accountability of all elements involved in hate speech.
