Strict restrictions have been imposed on press freedom in Afghanistan since the Taliban took over.
Journalists in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan face severe threats, strict censorship and violence.
Recently, the Afghanistan Journalists Center (AFJC) reported a twenty four percent increase in violations against media and journalists under Taliban rule.
Since March last year, 181 violations of journalists' rights have been recorded.
These violations include one hundred and thirty one threats to journalists and fifty incidents of arrests.
Among the arrested journalists, ten are in prison, and four have been sentenced to two to three years in jail.
