Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain has said that the government is prioritizing the development of quality seeds to ensure better crop yields and farmer prosperity.
He was talking to Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization Asad Majeed in Islamabad today (Wednesday).
The Minister highlighted that Pakistan is embracing modern agricultural technologies to boost productivity, including the successful use of aeroponics technology for enhanced potato production.
Rana Tanveer Hussain said comprehensive reforms are underway in Pakistan's agricultural sector. He said food security is a global issue but Pakistan is determined to overcome this challenge.
The Minister said the government will continue its mission to ensure agricultural sustainability, food security and economic uplift through innovation and strategic reforms.
During the meeting, Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization Asad Majeed invited Pakistan to join various EU-led agricultural initiatives.
