The Kashmir Conference, held in Islamabad today, adopted a resolution unanimously demanding India to withdraw its military and paramilitary forces from Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The conference was attended by the Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam, Pakistani AJK political leaders including PM AJK Chaudhary Anwar ul Haq, APHC representatives, Academia, Civil Society and Legal Fraternity.

The resolution highlighted that resolving the Kashmir dispute in line with UN resolutions and Kashmiri aspirations is essential for South Asian peace and pledged global advocacy until justice is achieved.

The resolution urged India to repeal repressive laws and ensure justice for victims and reverse the actions of 5th August, 2019 and restore pre-1947 status.

The resolution demanded that India should halt demographic changes, release all political detainees and return confiscated properties in IIOJ&K.

It urged the United Nations and International Community to enforce UNSC resolutions on Kashmir without delay and press India to permit access for UN observers, international media and human right organizations.

The conference noted with grave concern the India's ongoing violation of International law, failure to honour UN commitments and demographic engineering via non-resident domiciles and electoral gerrymandering to alter the region's Muslim majority.

The conference paid tribute to the martyrs of Kashmir who sacrificed their lives in pursuit of the right to self-determination and reliance of Kashmiri political leaders and human rights defenders.

Addressing the conference, Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam reaffirmed Pakistan's full support for the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination through all legitimate means.

He lauded the Hurriyat leadership's steadfastness and resilience for Kashmir cause despite brutal oppressive tactics and imprisonment by the Indian regime.

In his remarks, Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhary Anwar-ul-Haq termed Azad Kashmir as the base camp of Kashmir's freedom movement. He urged everyone to play proactive role in exposing Indian brutalities and human rights violations in Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

He stressed on unity, leaving behind personal gains and fighting for Kashmir cause collectively on ideological basis.
