In the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, New Zealand beat Sri Lanka by 5 wickets.   

Batting first, after being put into bat by New Zealand, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 171 runs in 46.4 overs. In reply, New Zealand achieved the target in 23.2 overs for the loss of 5 wickets.

New Zealand's Trent Boult was declared man of the match.
