Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz has directed to reactivate District Price Control Committees in Punjab to provide relief to the people from inflation.

Chairing a high level meeting in Lahore today (Tuesday) the CM instructed to immediately notify the price control committees consisting of active persons.

He said prices of utility items must be reduced through fruitful negotiations with sugar, flour, ghee and poultry associations and in the next 24 hours, the integrated policy for price control should be finalized.

CM Hamza Shahbaz said price lists of items in shops should be displayed in prominent places.

He said the government will not allow anyone in the province to make illegal profits and there will be indiscriminate action against hoarders and profiteers. Hamza Shahbaz said the public interest has a paramount importance and the government will take all possible steps to provide relief to the people.
