Business leaders have hailed the federal budget 2023-24 saying it would spur growth.
President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry Irfan Iqbal Sheikh appreciated the initiatives on account of poverty alleviation, increasing the amount of loans from 1,800 billion rupees to 2,055 billion rupees for the businesses and the youth, and abolition of duty on solar energy for tube wells and agri seeds.
Former President SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry Iftikhar Ali Malik also termed the federal budget 2023-24 as balanced, growth and export-oriented.
In a statement, he said remarkable measures announced in the budget would help set a proper direction for the national economy to flourish in the days to come.
President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari said that due to government's incentives to various sectors, the country would witness boom in foreign direct investment and remittances in the coming years.
