Pakistan and Iraq have signed a convention for the elimination of double taxation within their respective jurisdictions.

The agreement was made during the detailed deliberations held between the taxation officials of the two countries in Islamabad. 

The convention would provide safeguards against double taxation on the income of the residents of both the countries and also promote economic cooperation and enhance investments.

Taxpayers of both countries will get relief from double taxation resulting in further boosting up the trading activities in both countries.
