Commodore Kamran Ahmed and Commodore Kashif Munir of Pakistan Navy have been promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral.  

According to a news release issued by Directorate General Public Relations of Pakistan Navy, both officers are recipients of Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military).
