National Youth Employment Policy to be launched next week

Pakistan's first ever National Youth Employment Policy will be launched next week, aimed at providing job opportunities to the youth within the country and abroad at their doorsteps.

This was stated by Chairman Prime Minister's Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, while addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Friday.

Rana Mashhood said the incumbent government under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif launched number of programs for welfare of youth across the country.

He said journey of progress and prosperity has been kicked off. He said youth are our asset and all the provincial governments are fully supporting the federal government for its programs aimed at development and empowering the youth.

The Minister said the government has already launched the Digital Youth Hub portal, which is a groundbreaking initiative by the Prime Minister's Youth Programme (PMYP).

He added that Digital Youth Hub portal is serving as Pakistan's first of its kind of digital platform, which provides young Pakistanis with a one-stop solution for accessing opportunities in education, skills development, employment, entrepreneurship, engagement and environment.

Sharing the statistics regarding Digital Youth Hub portal, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan said so far nearly one million youth including boys and girls have been registered on this portal, which is quite encouraging. He said one point five million job opportunities within the country and abroad are currently available on this portal. He said the government has planned to generate two hundred and twenty six thousand jobs opportunities through this portal for the youth annually.
