Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has paid rich tribute to the security forces for demonstrating extreme caution and bravery in the operation and successfully rescuing all the passengers of Jaffar Express.
In his video statement, he said four hundred passengers were on board the train. He said Pakistan Army, FC, SSG and Air Force completed this operation quite professionally and killed thirty-three terrorists, while twenty-one civilians and four soldiers of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom before the start of operation.
He also strongly criticized the Indian media for disseminating propaganda on this issue saying that some political elements used this sad incident to gloss their politics.
Attaullah Tarar said Indian media, BLA and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf were on the same page and speaking in unison on this incident. He said that PTI should be ashamed of making a false narrative and urged that they should have talked about credible information regarding his operation. He also condemned the politics over the issue.
The Minister expressed the resolve that no one will be allowed to carry out such kind of incidents in the country. He also expressed the resolve to uproot the scourge of terrorism and make Pakistan a cradle of peace. He said that terrorists will never succeed in their nefarious designs.
Attaullah Tarar said Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Government of Pakistan, Pakistan Armed Forces and Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir have unwavering commitment to root out the menace of terrorism. He said Armed Forces of Pakistan, Security Forces, Police and Rangers are fully active to thwart terrorist attempts.
