President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have lauded Pakistan Army and the security forces for completing Operation Jaffar Express and rescuing the hostages.
In a statement, the President appreciated the professional expertise of the security forces for safely rescuing the passengers and killing thirty-three terrorists during the effective action against the terrorists.
The President also expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of twenty-one civilians and four FC personnel.
Asif Ali Zardari prayed for higher ranks of the shuhada of Operation Jaffar Express and for patience to the bereaved families.
The President expressed his firm resolve for elimination of terrorism and peace in Balochistan.
In a statement, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said the completion of Jaffar Express Operation became possible without any major losses owing to the professionalism of the security forces and the dynamic leadership of the Chief of Army Staff.
The Prime Minister said the operation was carried out while demonstrating utmost skill and our valiant soldiers and officers showed valor and courage, killing thirty-three terrorists.
He expressed grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of security forces personnel and passengers of the train in the operation. He prayed for the martyrs and patience and fortitude to the bereaved families.
Shehbaz Sharif said those who inflict loss to the lives and property of innocent citizens have nothing to do Islam and this country. He expressed the resolve that we are committed to defeat at every front to those who attack innocent people.
The Prime Minister also expressed the resolve that our war against terrorists will continue until terrorism is completely eradicated from the country.
The Prime Minister will visit Balochistan tomorrow (Thursday) to express solidarity with the people of the province and to review the security situation. The Prime Minister will also chair a high level meeting to review the law and order situation.
