Nepal has announced to deploy more forces and increase the number of security outposts at the border with India.

This was announced by Nepal Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali while talking to The Hindu over the phone from Kathmandu. 

He said Kathmandu expects India to avoid any unilateral measures in the Kalapani region and remain committed to the ‘fixed border’ principle as agreed during the past official talks.

Earlier, responding to questions in the Nepali parliament, the foreign minister urged India to refrain from further activities in the region.
