In India, Congress Party has dubbed the recent violence in Manipur pre-planned and demanded immediate imposition of President's Rule in the state.

Addressing a news conference in New Delhi, Congress leader Bhakta Charan Das said local organizations in Manipur are like Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the Bajrang Dal.

Meanwhile, a police commando was killed and four others injured during an operation against Naxel rebels in the state.
