A distinguished and legendary Radio broadcaster of British India and later Pakistan, Zulfiqar Ali Bukhari’s forty seventh death anniversary was observed on Tuesday.

Born in Peshawar in 1904, he started his career from All India Radio and after the creation of Pakistan became the first Director General of Radio Pakistan.

After his retirement from radio he became first General Manager Pakistan Television Karachi center in 1967. 

He wrote several tremendous books including his famous autobiography 'Sarguzasht'.

He died this day at Karachi in 1975.
