Renowned TV artist Durdana Butt after a protracted illness passed away in Karachi today (Thursday).

Durdana Butt performed excellent role in a number of PTV drama serials including Fifty Fifty, Tanhaiyan and Angan Terha. She was 83.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting has expressed deep grief over the sad demise of renowned artiste Durdana Butt.

In a condolence statement today, he said Durdana Butt was a versatile actress from whom fellow artists learnt a lot. He said her demise is a big loss to the showbiz industry of Pakistan.

Chaudhry Fawad Hussain prayed higher status in heaven for the departed soul and commiserated with the deceased family.
