In the United Kingdom, the coffin carrying Queen Elizabeth II arrived at Holyroodhouse palace in Edinburgh, the monarch's official Scottish residence, from Balmoral Castle.

The cortege will now lead to London where the state funeral of the queen will be held at Westminster Abbey on 19th September.

The crowds lined the roads to pay tribute to the monarch.
