At least, twenty two people have been martyred and over one hundred injured in Israeli strikes in Lebanon's capital Beirut.

Meanwhile, the United States has urged Israel to stop shooting at UN peacekeepers in Lebanon.

Sri Lanka's foreign ministry said it strongly condemns Israel's attack which injured two of its soldiers who were part of UN Interim Force in Lebanon.
