Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat says clarified that no school is being privatized and rumors are being spread in this regard.
He stated this during a meeting with columnists in Lahore.
Rana Sikandar Hayat said that Privatization and outsourcing are two different things and it has been decided to run schools with poor performance under public-private partnership.
He said that outsourced schools are still owned by the state.
The Education Minister said that Matric-Tech programme is starting from March. He said that due to the changing trends, IT education has become necessary, which is being addressed in the course now.
He said that commerce colleges are being converted into e-commerce colleges.
