Minister calls for cementing Pak-Kyrgyz ties in diverse sectors

Minister for Education and Professional Training, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui says Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan should enhance bilateral ties especially in exchange of technology, education and research.

He was talking to a high-powered delegation of Kyrgyzstan, led Minister of Education and Science Ms. Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva in Islamabad today.

Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui welcomed the Kyrgyz Minister of Education and Science and said that the International Conference on Girl's Education has provided the Islamic countries with an opportunity to come closer.

He also welcomed the enhanced cooperation between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan in the field of education.

The Minister discussed exchange of expertise and knowledge regarding vocational and technical training between the two countries saying that both the countries can benefit from the experience of each other in these sectors.

He also highlighted the E-Taleem and Teleschool platforms of the Ministry of Education to develop digital solutions to prevalent problems in the public education sector.

He said both Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan should also look towards collaboration on multilateral platforms such as ECO.

In her remarks, Ms. Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva said people of Kyrgyzstan have deep affiliation with Pakistan. She said that University to University cooperation and Technical Institution to Technical Institution collaboration is the way forward.

She also briefed Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui about a digital learning platform being used in Kyrgyzstan that has reaped good results.

Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan Avazbek Atakhanov was also present on the occasion.
