In Afghanistan, Taliban regime’s education system has become a means of promoting ideological extremism and a militaristic mindset instead of fostering the intellectual development of the younger generation.
According to a report by the prominent Australian think tank Lowy Institute, the Afghan Taliban, alongside imposing a ban on girls’ education, have also begun transforming the entire education system in line with their ideological outlook.
The Lowy Institute said that the presence of multiple militant organizations, including Al-Qaeda, in Afghanistan, coupled with the Taliban’s ideological education programme, has become a serious threat to regional and global security.
