The Executive Committee of Prime Minister Endowment Fund for Archeology and Literary Heritage in a meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday formally approved five projects related to preservation of archeological sites and promoting the ancient art of calligraphy.
The meeting was chaired by Federal Minister for National History and Literary Heritage, Shafqat Mahmood.
The projects approved during the meeting include `Conservation and Preservation of Buddha Stupa and Mosque at Ban Faqiran', `Conservation and Preservation of Shah Allah Ditta Caves', `Upgradation of Islamabad Museum', `Arrangement of Calligraphy Exhibition' and `Publication of book of International Calligraphy Exhibition held in August 2017'.
The committee also gave formal approval of bi-laws of Archeology and Literary Heritage Endowment Fund.
The Archeology and Literary Heritage Endowment Fund was established with seed money of 500 million rupees to promote archeology, national history and literary activities in the country.
