Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh has urged the United Nations and the European Union to ‘parachute aid’ into Gaza especially the north to save thousands of lives. 

In a statement, he said tens of thousands of Palestinians have fled northern Gaza on foot as Israeli forces push deeper into dense urban neighbourhoods.
