North and South Korea, the United States and China have agreed in principle to declare a formal end to the Korean War.       

This was stated by South Korean President Moon Jae-in while speaking at a joint press conference in Canberra with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

The South Korean President expressed the hope that talks will begin soon to this end.
