APHC urges world to facilitate for solution of Kashmir dispute

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has appealed to the international community to make concerted efforts to resolve the Kashmir dispute for durable peace in South Asia.

In a statement issued in Srinagar, APHC Spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas underscored the imminent threat the unresolved Kashmir issue poses to regional stability.

Meanwhile, Kashmiri representative Altaf Hussain Wani, speaking at the 55th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, informed the world body that India is using Kashmiri children as human shields during cordon and search operations in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Another delegation, comprising Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Advocate Parvez Ahmad Shah, Hassan Banna, and Barrister Nida Salam, met Turkish diplomat at the UN Serdar Ozkan in Geneva and apprised him of the prevailing human rights situation in the occupied territory.

The Turkish diplomat expressed serious concern over the human rights violations in Kashmir and reiterated Turkey's support for the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination.

National Panthers Party activists held a protest demonstration in Jammu, condemning the Modi-led Indian government's infringement upon the democratic rights of the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
