Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain has reaffirmed government's commitment to resolving the issues of overseas Pakistanis.
He was talking to Radio Pakistan's correspondent Muhammad Zafar Iqbal Mayo in Islamabad today.
He said the objective of 1st Overseas Pakistanis Convention 2025 is to sensitize overseas Pakistanis that government is determined for their welfare. He emphasized that a convention of this magnitude has never occurred before. He said government is ready to engage and honour the overseas diaspora.
Chaudhry Salik Hussain said Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir will address the convention tomorrow.
Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam has acknowledged the role of overseas Pakistanis for country's economy.
In an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan's correspondent Muhammad Zafar Iqbal in Islamabad today, he said the convention will prove to be a platform for overseas diaspora to witness the ground reality and find out investment potential.
He also appreciated the top leadership and relevant departments for successfully organizing the first ever Overseas Convention in Pakistan.
Chairman Overseas Pakistanis Foundation Syed Qamar Raza says the primary goal of 1st Overseas Pakistanis Convention 2025 is to bridge the gap between overseas Pakistanis and the government.
Talking to Radio Pakistan's Correspondent Muhammad Zafar Iqbal Mayo in Islamabad today, he said the objective of organizing the Overseas Pakistanis Convention is also listen and resolve their issues directly.
He emphasized that the Convention will provide an opportunity to explore ways to enhance their remittances, investments, and overall contributions to the nation.
Commenting on holding the Overseas Pakistanis Convention, Member of National Assembly and prominent leader of business community Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig urged the overseas Pakistanis to invest in the country.
