Minister for National Health Services Syed Mustafa Kamal has called for eliminating misconceptions regarding the polio immunization and sensitizing the people about the importance of polio vaccination.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Monday, he said six polio cases have been identified in Pakistan during this year.

He added that a week-long polio campaign would commence in the country from next Monday. Over four hundred thousand polio workers will perform duty during the campaign.

The Minister vowed to end the polio virus in the country by the end of the year.
