Pakistan's cement industry is among the highest contributors to national exchequer.

According to All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association, Pakistan's cement export increased by 85 percent in March this year.

The sector continues to post healthy growth and continued to enhance its capacities. The recent growth in domestic cement demand has been complemented by surging exports for the second consecutive months.

During the first nine months of the current fiscal year the industry has sold 34.76 million tons  of cement which was 14.7 per cent higher than 30.3 million tons dispatches during the  corresponding period last year.
