Gulf Cooperation Council has called on the world community to shoulder its responsibility towards Israeli violations of the rights of the Palestinian people. 

This was stated by representative of the Saudi Arabia to the United Nations Dr Abdulaziz Al-Wasel in a speech on behalf of GCC in Geneva today (Tuesday).

He urged making more efforts to revive the peace process and negotiations between the Palestine and Israel.

He stressed the need for guarantee of the rights of refugees according to the Arab peace initiative, the two-state solution and the relevant international legitimacy resolutions aimed to restore peace in the region.
