A five-day anti-polio campaign will begin in various districts of Punjab on Monday.

Similarly, seven-day anti-polio drive will begin in thirty four districts of Balochistan from tomorrow (Monday).

Coordinator Emergency Operation Center Balochistan Syed Zahid Shah told our Quetta correspondent that during the drive more than 2.5 million children up to five years of age would be administered anti-polio drops. 

He said for this purpose more than eleven thousand polio teams have been constituted which would administer drops to the children during door to door drive.

On the other hand, a five-day anti-polio campaign will begin in AJK as elsewhere in the country from Monday.

AJK Programme Manager EPI Dr. Abdul Sattar Khan told our correspondent that the door-to-door campaign will start in Muzaffarabad, Neelum, Jehlum, Bagh, Haveli, Poonch, Sadhnooti, Kotli, Mirpur, and Bhember.

Over seven lakh and 10 thousand children up to five years of age will be administered with anti-polio drops. About 4000 mobile teams constituted, 432 fixed centers and 156 transit points set up for the campaign.

Meanwhile, a three-day anti-polio campaign will begin in twenty-eight districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from Monday.
