Miseries of Kashmiri families go unchecked in IIOJK
May 15, 2023

As the world is observing the International Day of Families, today, the Kashmiris continue to suffer in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir at the hands of occupation forces’ personnel for demanding their right to self-determination.

A report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service on the occasion of the day said, Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing unabated killings, enforced disappearances, torture, rape and other brutalities by Indian troops over the past three decades.

More than 8,000 Kashmiris, mostly youth have vanished in the Indian army custody since 1990.  The report revealed that thousands of families of victims of enforced disappearances suffer economically because in most of the cases, the breadwinners of the families were targeted.

Meanwhile, ahead of G-20 meeting in Srinagar, India has intensified raids in the occupied territory. The New Delhi-controlled dreaded National Investigating Agency, State Investigation Agency and Central Reserve Police Force conducted raids at many locations including Srinagar, Pulwama, Shopian, Islamabad, Kulgam, Jammu and Poonch districts.
