In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, political analysts and experts have warned that Modi government’s coercive tactics are jeopardizing regional stability, urging the international community to intervene before escalating tensions lead to conflict.
According to Kashmir Media Service, they also strongly criticized recent statements by Indian ministers Jaishankar and Rajnath Singh on Azad Jammu and Kashmir, calling them provocative and dangerous.
They said such irresponsible assertions cannot alter the historical facts or legal status of Jammu and Kashmir as a disputed territory under international law.
Experts highlighted that inflammatory remarks by Indian military officials and Bharatiya Janata Party leaders are fueling instability in South Asia.
They said Modi’s aggressive and undemocratic policies pose a serious threat to regional peace, warning that India’s continued intransigence is prolonging instability in the region.
Meanwhile, Congress chief Tariq Hameed Karra has called for a united stand on the restoration of statehood for the territory.
Speaking in the State Assembly, he emphasized that statehood is not the privilege of any single political entity but the right of every citizen of IIOJK.
On the other hand, Indian authorities has allotted land in the occupied territory to a former Sri Lankan cricketer.
During the Question Hour territory's legislative assembly, CPI-M MLA Muhammad Yosouf Tarigami revealed that a Sri Lankan cricketer has been allotted land free of cost which is illegal act.
