The 14th death anniversary of renowned Pakistani Urdu writer Hajra Masroor was observed today (Tuesday).

Hajra Masroor was born on 17th January 1930.

Hajra Masroor made a significant contribution to Urdu literature through her short stories.

Her famous short stories include 'Chand Ki Doosri Taraf', 'Teesri Manzil', 'Chori Chupey' and 'Andhere Ujale'.

In recognition of her literary services, she received several awards, including the Pride of Performance and the Aalmi Frogh-e-Urdu Adab Award.

She died in Karachi on this day in 2012, leaving behind a rich literary legacy.
