China has warned that India's plan to deploy the latest BrahMos missile at the India-China border would fail the talks for peace solution and escalate tension.

However, it noted that this new Indian weapon would pose no threat to China's security.

In a statement, a Chinese military expert Song Zhongping said this is why tension keeps rising along the China-India border and unwanted military conflicts broke out.
