The IDEAS Defence Expo is being held after a gap of four years. This event is going to provide a great opportunity to the Asian countries in particular to witness and benefit form the capabilities of Pakistan in the defence sector. The stalls exhibiting the defence products produced indigenously in Pakistan have been set up at the expo centre. After this a seminar would be conducted on Artificial intelligence, cyber security and others. This forum will provide an opportunity for mutual learning. Over two dozen defence industries are participating in the event including HIT, POF, PAC and others. Through this event Pakistan can improve its defence exports. IDEAs Defense Expo will be going to improve military to military relations of Pakistan with other countries as part of defence diplomacy. These four days of exhibition are important as senior leaderships from different countries are present at the event and witnessing the defence capabilities of our country. The conducting of the IDEAS Defence Expo event at this point of time is a clear message to the world that despite the political instability and recent floods, Pakistan is capable of holding an international level event.

It is a big achievement that Pakistan conducted such a mega event. Almost 64 countries and delegations from different countries are participating in the event. Pakistan has a clear vision of peace and prosperity. In my opinion, the ongoing regional disputes are self-made with an aim to indulge the region into an arms race. However, all the issues can be resolved through dialogue peacefully. I was also present at the inaugural ceremony of 11th edition of International Defence Exhibition and Seminar IDEAS-2022. The Foreign Minister has rightly urged for dialogue among regional and international players to ensure peace and stability at regional and international levels. Our priority is peace in order to make the livelihood of the people peaceful. I would like to request the government to establish a pool of senior scientists so that they could play a role to improve the defense technology through their expertise.
