Punjab Assembly has passed Agriculture Income Tax Punjab Amendment Bill 2024, with majority of votes, during its session in Lahore.

According to the bill, super tax will be imposed on high incomed farmers and land owners. The tax will also be imposed on livestock sector which will also be considered agriculture tax.

Through this Bill, exemption for income tax on agriculture land will end.

Later, the session was prorogued.
