All Parties Hurriyat Conference has called on United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres to prioritize Kashmir dispute in his 2025 goals.
In a statement, APHC spokesman Abdul Rashid Minhas urged Guterres to leverage UN’s platform to address plight of Kashmiris and push for a resolution of Kashmir dispute in line with international law and the aspirations of Kashmiri people.
Meanwhile, civil society activists have strongly condemned escalation of cordon-and-search operations across occupied territory ahead of India's Republic Day on 26th of this month.
They said situation in Kashmir has become a militarized zone, with regular searches and raids infringing on personal privacy and exacerbating already dire humanitarian conditions.
