In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, twenty-two Khwarij have been killed while eighteen injured by Security Forces during various intelligence-based operations since 14th of last month in Khyber District.

According to ISPR, these intelligence-based operations were conducted in response to numerous terrorist incidents in Tirah area Khyber District against security forces as well as the innocent civilians, resulting in several casualties.

The ISPR said the intelligence-based operations will continue till peace in the area is restored and Khwarij are eliminated, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.

President Asif Ali Zardari has paid tribute to the security forces for killing twenty-two Khwarij during various operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In a statement, he appreciated the bravery of the forces for killing Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists during various intelligence-based operations in Khyber district.

He said killing of twenty-two terrorists and injuring eighteen others in various operations is a major achievement of the security forces.

The President expressed the commitment to continue operations of the security forces till complete elimination of the terrorists.

He also expressed unflinching resolve to root out terrorist elements and defence of the motherland.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has appreciated the security forces for killing twenty-two Khwarij during various Intelligence Based Operations since 14th of last month in Khyber district.

In a statement, the Prime Minister said entire nation is standing by the security forces in the war against terrorism.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government's determination to continue the war against the scourge of terrorism till its complete elimination from the country.
