Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz today launched province’s first Environmental Protection Force during a grand passing-out parade in Lahore today.
The ceremony marked a key step in the government’s mission to tackle pollution and safeguard natural resources and environment.
The newly trained Vigilance Squad of the force presented a ceremonial salute to the Chief Minister.
Addressing the ceremony, the Chief Minister said government is moving towards a zero waste policy and operation of force will be expanded.
Speaking at the ceremony, Punjab Senior Maryam Aurangzeb called it a timely and visionary initiative by the Chief Minister.
