In Afghanistan, over 100 Taliban fighters and 90 troops were reportedly killed in the intensive fighting between the Afghan security forces and the Taliban in the eighty districts of the country today.

In a statement, the Ministry of Defense officials said security forces have retaken the control of Khanabad district in Kunduz province and Daulatabad district of northern Faryab province after stiff resistance. Both capital cities fell to the Taliban two days ago.
