At least thirty-five people were killed and over two hundred and thirty injured due to heavy rains in eastern Afghanistan.

According to the official sources in Afghanistan, the rain caused by thunderstorms in Jalalabad and certain districts of Nangarhar.

The casualties are expected to rise.

Heavy rains and flooding have killed more than four hundred and rendered thousands homeless since May in Afghanistan.
