National Locust Control Centre (NLCC) said that locust is present in one district of Balochistan and one district of Sindh.
In last twenty four hrs 202,880 hectares area has been surveyed.
The joint teams of National Locust Control Center have continued locust control operations in more than 1630 hectares of land in Balochistan and Sindh during the last 24 hours.
According to National Locust Control Centre, these operations were carried out on 100 hectares of district Lasbella of Balochistan and 1530 hectares of land in district Tharparkar of Sindh.
No Locust present has been recorded in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Similarly, more than two hundred fifty six thousand hectares of area has been surveyed during the last twenty four hours.
In the last six months, control operation has been carried out on 1,111,920 hectares area of land.
Migration of locust is expected from Rajasthan in India towards central and southern Punjab and also towards central Sindh.
