Intolerance on the rise in India, IIOJK: Report
November 16, 2023

When International Day of Tolerance is being observed across the world, Muslims of India and occupied Jammu and Kashmir are witnessing growing intolerance at the hands of Hindutva-led Modi government of India when International Day of Tolerance is being observed across the world.

A report released by Kashmir Media Service in connection with the day, today, said Indian government is using violence, intimidation, terror and harassment against Muslims in India and occupied Jammu and Kashmir as a state policy.

The report said that hate crimes against Muslims and other minorities have increased manifold particularly after 2014 when Modi came into power in India.

Illegally detained APHC leader, Nayeem Ahmad Khan in a message from New Delhi's infamous Tihar Jail appealed to the international community to impress upon India to take concrete steps for settlement of the Kashmir dispute, once and for all.

He said the Indian government has waged a war against defenceless population of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Indian government has attached more properties of Kashmiri Muslims in Poonch and Pulwama districts.

On the other hand, an Indian Army man committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Udhampur district.

This incident has raised the number of such deaths among the Indian army and police personnel in the occupied territory to 587 since January 2007.
